23 people killed, 70 injured in Parachinar Blast

23 people got killed and 70 injured in Blast at New fruit market parachinar.

Namaz-e-janaza of the 20 people killed in incident was offered at central Imambargah in Parachinar.




I.G F.C, Maj. General Shaheen Mazhar Mehmood, Commandant tall Bridge Br. Amir Muhammad Khan, Member National Assembly Sajid Topri, Political Agency Khurram Ikram Ullah, people from different walk of life, relatives of the deceased also attended the funeral prayers.
A shutter down strike was observed in parachinar to condemn the blast that killed many of innocent people.
Whole city was in deep-sadness and people showed deepest feelings for their loved ones.

According to ISPR, the blast was carried out by an improvised explosive device which was hidden in a vegetable box.


Security Forces cordoned off the area immediately after the blast and launched relief and rescue operation.
Injured were shifted to Agency Headquarters Parachinar.
While 20 serious injured were taken to Peshawar using Army helicopters.

After Corps Commander Peshawar Lt. General Nazir Ahmed butt visited combined military hospital to inquire after the injured.

Govt revises fuel prices for next two weeks, petrol hikes by Rs1.77 per litre

Prices of petrol is increased by Rs.1.77 and hi-speed diesel by Rs.2.00. However, Kerosene oil and light diesel will remain constant. Finance Minister Ishaq Dar addressed a press conference in Islamabad, saying that the prices of light diesel oil and kerosene will remain intact, beginning tomorrow till Jan 31. He said the price of petrol will be increased by Rs1.77 per litre and high-speed diesel oil will be increased by Rs2 per litre. Dar aslo said that the government treasury will bear the burden of Rs2.75 billion as a subsidy for this period on petroleum products. The minister also informed that the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel oil have been increased due to a 43 per cent increase in the prices of crude oil and petroleum products in the global market.
