The new DataTraveler Ultimate GT (Generation TeraByte) is the world's largest capacity USB flash drive. The new device is designed for those who need to store large collections of multimedia files every time in there pocket and also For those looking to carry large amounts of data without relying on hard disks and cloud storage.
DataTraveler Ultimate GT 1TB drive released in 2013, now offers twice the storage space found on its predecessor.The DataTraveler Ultimate GT, on top of providing huge storage space, is USB 3.1 Gen 1 compatible. Due to this enhancement made by Kingston, it provides a better read/write performance.
The USB looks something out of Transformers with high-end design and robust zinc-alloy metal casing for shock resistance and enclosures to protect from physical
damage and are relatively compact for their capacities (at least, more
compact than external HDDs or SSDs).
The drive is not much tiny but compared to the storage it provides, it is still much more pocket
friendly and easy to travel with unlike hard disks.
Kingston will be
selling the DataTraveler Ultimate GT in both capacities starting in Upcoming month February. Pricing is unknown for now but it is going to cost you just for it's high capacity of 2TB and expected that it must be more than $1,000.
It will also come with a carry pouch and a USB cable to alleviate issues where it interferes with other ports:
